A real person reads it. Say what phone you have and what happened, and you will get a reply.
Open the page, tap Words it read, and fix what it got wrong. The app learns the corrections you make and will get your hand right next time. Flat light and a page filling the frame help most.
The app tries to keep printed scripture out and keep only what you wrote in the margin. It is deliberately cautious — it would rather keep a printed line than throw away something you wrote. Tap Words it read to remove anything you do not want.
Open the page. Each prayer on it has its own tick and its own date. The page itself only counts as answered when every one of them is.
Tap Write one at the top of Notes or Prayers.
Settings has Back up everything, which produces a single file holding your pages and the photographs. Keep it somewhere safe, then use Restore from a backup on the new phone. If you restore the new phone from an iCloud backup of the old one, your notebook comes across with it.
